P.O.W.E.R. Academy staff welcomes and invites students to join our community as we walk alongside you, supporting your unique recovery and educational journey. We are a tuition free high school with year-round enrollment!
Student Requirements
- Are in their freshman to senior year of high school
- Have a history of Substance Use or Co-Cccurring Disorders (Please contact us if student does not have a history of Substance Use, but student is still interested in enrolling due to mild Mental Health Disorders.)
- Commitment to attend P.O.W.E.R. Academy for a minimum of 2 months to complete an IOP program, unless student has already completed an IOP program within 30 days of admission date.
- Have a desire to participate in a recovery program and lead a chemical-free lifestyle
- Are motivated to achieve academically, and grow emotionally, socially and spiritually

To Create a safe, supportive and positive environment for your recovery and education.
To Work collaboratively with your Recovery Capitol (personal, community, social) including Young People in AA (YPAA) or Alternative Peer Group (APG), counselors, family, sponsors, friends and any other relevant parties in supporting students emotional, social, mental, physical, academic, and spiritual development
To Provide brief counseling interventions if necessary, to address any behavioral, emotional, and/or recovery issues that surface while at school.
To Offer opportunities for daily “check-in” and “closing” so you can work through issues that may stand in the way of your educational process each day.
To Perform random and frequent drug tests, reinforcing your accountability and ensuring your compliance with our Mission.
To Listen to you and hold you accountable with love.
COMMITMENT TO PARENTS/GUARDIANS
To Treat your student with love, empathy, acceptance, and respect (especially when they are having a rough time.)
To Return your calls within one business day if you leave a message.
To Work with your family to ensure the safety and well-being of your student.
To Be Clear and consistent with implementing disciplinary actions when applicable, behavioral contracts, and/or a Relapse Prevention Plan for your student as needed.
To Remain open to any feedback you have regarding your student’s education, health, and personal development.
